In September 2018, The Danish Crown Princess will be heading a Danish business delegation to Finland. The organisers of this official visit are pleased to invite Danish companies to join this unique Danish trade promotion to Finland.

Urbanization is a focus area in Finland, as the bigger cities are growing at a rapid pace. In fact there are currently 14 growth areas and by the year 2040, there will be built around 760.000 new apartments, indication a fast growing market. However, the new constructions needs to be keeping up with the latest technologies and solutions. Likewise, the Finns value and nurture the environment, thus making it highly important for them to build green and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in construction environments.

Helsinki has taken the lead in trying to be the Nordic restaurant capital. The ambitions are high and there are many sources of inspiration. The strongest is the new Nordic cuisine, where local raw materials are in the center of a culinary experience. Danish gourmet experiences are world known, thus increasing interest in the Danish gastronomic experiences. Additionally, a recent change in the alcohol legislation makes it possible for grocery stores to sell beverages with an alcohol content of 5.5% instead of the former 4.7%. Hereby, there will be more openings for the Danish companies to enter the Finnish market.
